LEVERAGE promos up

The character stuff has been up for a while, but now some behind the scenes stuff is up.  The two that are, well, the geekiest --

and

Apollo's new website is a bit spare still (it doesn't mention his recent work in the cognitive science of magic), but his site for his old show is up, including his very cool reading list.

(Yes, I know they choke in Firefox, particularly on Mac.  Explorer or Safari will stream them just fine.  Considering how extensive the TNT promo has been, it would be petty of me to keep harping on my streaming video obsession. )

Those clips officially fulfill the legal definition of the term, "cool shit"!

They worked fine on Firefox for me.

Please tell me you have a deal for a UK airing, John - otherwise can you let TNT know there will be at least one desperate guy scouring torrents in my part of the world and don't hold it against me.

They worked perfect for me on Firefox on a Mac.

And please come shoot an ep down here. Damn that look fun. And great, more reading to do now.

Worked fine for me on Fox/XP (I discovered RedSwoosh -- for FoxTorrent -- might have been causing me grief earlier; just killed it yesterday).

Damn, those promos are GREAT!! And we finally get to hear from She Who Matters (no, Rogers, not YOU -- Beth!!).

So when do you begin on Season Two? You know you will!

Great Promos.

Who’s the weird guy with the “Will Scarlet” type beard?

Oh, you wound me, sir.

The Apollo Robbins video wouldn't work for me as embedded video on your blog so I followed the link to tnt.tv where I got a message to download a plugin for Firefox. After overcoming my paranoia of such things, I did it, restarted the browser, came back here and the embedded video here worked fine, although I do now have mysterious charges on my credit card for pornography and a bucket of extra crispy that security cameras show were purchased by a mysterious fellow with a red beard wearing a "Watch Leverage" T-shirt.

I really do not mind the beard. It your insistence on wearing green leggings, the historically actuate longbow and ever time we go into a “Denny’s” you try to order Mead.

Truth be told. “Denny’s” has some fine Mead. Who knew?

The weird guy with the beard that’s who… and that most “Denny’s” have a stable for horses.

“Your finest Mead, oats for my steed and a Grand slam… you wench”

Hey Buddy,

Just wanted to say good luck to all of you. The show's great, and the promotion seems off the charts (as we've come to expect from TNT). So enjoy the ride, and hope to see you out west for season two.

Meanwhile if you're in NYC between now and mid-January, give a shout. If you don't know him already, you should meet my friend Clive Thompson who writes the Collision Detection blog, he's right up your alley. Anyhow, I've got my fingers crossed for the show.
Best,

David.

One of the problems with modern TV is that it is too often smart and involving. You have to actually watch it and spend brain-cycles on it.

This is a problem because, dang, if you try to watch too many smart involving shows you find yourself neglecting your own writing or that frozen shaving-cream sculpture project.

So, I've carefully chosen which shows I do and don't watch.

You, Mr. Rogers, have gone done and made me put Leverage on my "watch" list.

This reminds me of a technical shtick which you might use...

I was playing a hacker type in a game of Aberrant. My hacker, had a potent piece of steel, but had gone through a series of problem that deprived him of the use of his laptop on occasion. He refered to his base system as his Katana. His Laptop as his Wakizashi, and his cell phone, as his Tanto. (He subscribed to the idea that just as a sword was an extension of a samurai's spirit, that his computer was an extension of his mind.

Having been deprived of access more than once, he created a fix for the problem.
He programmed a series of interconnected agent software. One to do automated hacks on low security systems. One to find space on servers to store core systems and data. Another which was a series of script automated attacks, bundled together, and a few other bit of classic useful hacks. Like penny rounding and ID theft. The last piece of software he built was a virtual machine that used VOIP technology and vocal recognition software.

In essence, he could launch a series of pre-planned hacks from his phone.

My favorite bit?
"Ghostwheel? This is Eclipse. Initiate the Omega Protocols."

Never failed to make my Game Master clench up.
:D

TNT certainly knows how to promote the hell out of a new show, don't they? And the best part, we all buy into it!
