While we're on the subject of compelling responses to intelligent design, I thought you might be interested in reading this "Open Letter to the Kansas School Board": http://www.venganza.org/index.htm. I can honestly say that it changed the way I thought about the teaching of alternative theories in schools. For example, I now firmly believe that Flying Spaghetti Monsterism has precisely the same place in our schools as other equally valid theories of intelligent design.
On a related note, given your interest in global warming, I look forward to reading your thoughts on its potential connection to the declining population of pirates. The evidence, to say the least, is startling.
