Here's an older article on the nifty art of creating shadow images by arranging refuse in just the right way.
D&D Insider has a great series of videos of the writers from Robot Chicken going through a little dungeon crawl.
You know that annoying uncle who tells the story of how he had to walk five miles to school through two feet of snow, uphill, both ways? Tell him he ain't go nothin' on these kids.
And John's hands are working busily a day for your season 3 enjoyment so leave him some love in the comments.
There won't be any Guitar Friday this week since I'm leaving for C2E2 in the morning and it appears to be shaping up to be a pretty busy show (I'm at booth 359-stop by and say hi). Nerd Prom of the Midwest is probably a little off the mark. I see it more like a Nerd Sadie Hawkins Dance.
So here are a few interesting things I thought I'd leave you with before heading off to the Windy City.
I'm sure most of you already know this, but I feel it's worth reiterating; we live in a world in which invisibility cloaks are real. Dwell on that for a moment.
We also live in a world where we are just now understanding why ropes don't come unraveled.

Speaking of table-top gaming, Geek Chic has some truly AMAZING heirloom quality tables designed for gamers. I got to see a demonstration of The Emissary while I was in San Francisco for Wondercon a couple of weeks ago (thanks Ruth!). The craftsmanship is top-notch, the design is ingenious, and their furniture is fully customizable when you order. Well worth the money.

And have you read my comic Dingo yet? If you haven't, give it a chance. You'll be glad you did. I'm also very proud of Hexed and the work I'm doing on 28 Days Later.
Lastly, here's a neat little short called Alma. Cute and creepy. Perfect.

That was a fantastic post, more like this please!
Well you left us with enough to ponder in your absence. Cute video at the end. Have a fun trip.
Like you said "Leave John some love in the comments"
HELLO JOHN, HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A NICE DAY!
Enjoy Chicago! The video was a tinge "Chuckie"ish set to "Ratatouille" score. The concept gave me much needed humor as I am subbing again in 2nd grade...and I told them they could eat their lunchtime nosh with me in the classroom. Perhaps I will just load up on jellybeans-the sugar will get me through!
John, keep the fun train on the rails and enjoy the ride!
Oh man, that short is wonderfully creeptastic! Eeek, scary dolls.
I like Kung Fu technique. In fact I learned on;y 2 steps. :-)
I didn't know you were coming to C2E2! Yays! CHICAGO MISSES YOU. I shall be on the lookout (assuming I make it up to the show Friday instead of going straight to the BOOM birthday party).
That short was very creepy; that doll with the sadistic grin in the very beginning was the worst.
Sorry John, I don't have a Guinness for you, but I am super excited to see the ep. you directed!
great men, i really want to watch that video cool
Here what i found -> vision correction
It won't succeed as a matter of fact, that's what I believe.
