The Closer
I'm catching up on Tivo now that I'm back from Portland. You know, I give our fellow TNT network brethren at The Closer some friendly teasing about the glories of writing a show shot on one set, but Jesus Murphy the episode "Red Tape" is one of the most engaging pieces of detective television I've seen in a really, really long time. I mean, damn. Damn.

Yeah, it's good stuff, I've been following that show from the beginning and it keeps getting better, fine writing.
I also appreciate the casting, I think that show is VERY well cast, they cast actors that look and feel very real, right down to the quiet camera geek who runs their AV stuff.
Just great work, really.
Are there any 2nd season promo photos out there? I compose the cover for our local newspaper's "TV guide" and plan to feature Leverage but I can't find any new promo pictures.
Any hints on where to find them or when they will be released?

Amen, brother. That was some AMAZING television right there. One of my favorite current shows.
Really? I thought the FID captain was a caricature bordering on pathetic. The idea of a second perp was obvious from the instant shots fired out of the darkness, at least dramatically, and should have gotten more attention as a possibility during the early procedural development. This may also be a truth-stranger-than-fiction thing, but actually preventing the investigation of a homicide in order to investigate a police shooting is nonsense.
That show is a real dark horse. It pretends to be something it isn't-easy to chew- and gets away with it.
Love it.
