I say you use your idea of the Holmes/Watson reboot: Beth Riesgraf as the PTSD-suffering, hard-as-nails Doc back from the Afghanistan theatre, trying to re-integrate into a society where people's bodies don't come in plastic bags, while Aldis Hodge is the first-gen-trust-fund know-it-all post-grad whose sarcastic wit has kept him out of the work-a-day world. Together, they fight crime.
Since Michelle Forbes is the only person I can now see playing Miranda Zero although Riesgraff wouldn't make a half bad aleph(not that I ever saw the pilot, because piracy is wrong), it seems like a conventional holmes with Aldis as Watson and Riesgraf as Holmes(I'd prefer for Holmes to be done the right way with Holmes as a junky detective and Watson as his psychotic drunk enforcer/accountant though).
Hey... John. Do you think Global Frequency would work as a Web Series? Say one of those 6 hour-longs and out, british style series? Or even a 13 episode mid-season replacement. If nothing else, a web series would mean less reliance on a set group of actors and actresses. except for Ms. Zero and Aleph. Which goes directly back to the original series.

I think I prefer Shepard as Lestrade (of the non-bufoonish variety). Or Grimesby Roylott, if he must be an antagonist.

I only read the first couple issues of Global Frequency.
