LEVERAGE Season 2 SPOILERS

IF Magazine came in and did a video interview yesterday before the finale broadcast, and caught us working on Season Two.

  1. Ah, you bastards....

    I'm looking forward to Wizzer....

  2. Wait...does that last bit mean Eliot *won't* be fighting a grizzly bear?

    ReplyDelete
  3. I can already see how Parker being a foster mom to an Alien Zombie Baby could work out - if Eliot can keep the grizzly from eating the baby and turn into Wizzer after being infected with the alien DNA that is.

You could compromise and have Elliot fight Dan Haggarty.

  5. Dude, That "bear" is a monkey! ZOMG AlienMonkeyKungFuBears!

  6. Hey, I didn't know you guys also wrote jokes for the Oscars!

  7. Ohh maybe Hardison and Parker could give birth to the alien baby... or hell maybe Parker and Sophie even just to see the 'wtf' looks on people's faces. And the babies should totally be the one's coming out wearing tutus and bursting into song while the whole Leverage cast dances around them.

Wizzer is the nanny, of course...

LMAO. You guys totally had me laughing through the entire video. I can't wait for season two, whatever you decide to come up with!

  8. Do you practice your maniacal laugh in the mirror?

  9. FYI: Nasal passages burn when you inhale beer while laughing. Also, I'm loving you guys as much as the cast.

Hee! Too late, Xena/Gabrielle and Callisto already did that.

  10. Hold me closer, Tiny Leverage.

AH! I love you for that comment!

    Though Livia/Eve wasn't an alien...

... or was she? o.O LOL.

Well, you gotta admit, the method of Livia/Eve's conception was rather...alien.

    Awesome.

In these trying economic times, you're going to use a CGI Bear?

Won't somebody think of the Animal Handlers!

    ReplyDelete
  16. So, did you show Christian the first, oh, 90 seconds of that clip?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Picked up by Nikki Finke. That can only be good for the show.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No offense to Ryan but shouldn't you tap Will Wheaton to be the voice of Wizzer?

I had to read that sentence twice to confirm it wasn't a "hypothetical".

I want an "Elliot fights Bear" T-shirt

  22. Maybe in season 2 you could do an episode where the Leverage team has to help a screenwriter get revenge against the evil studio execs who took his ruined his script for a movie about a famous super villain that starred an Oscar winning actress and then blamed him when the movie was a critical and box office failure.

I also want a T-shirt of Berg's notebook with the four things she wants on the show. *nods*

I will be VERY disappointed if it turns out that Elliot doesn't fight a bear in season 2.

My two cents for improving the show next season: Even after committing as an audience member to the premise of the show, the one really unplausible part of the show for me is that Nate's crew isn't recognized more often, either during a con or between cons.

So my idea would be to try to incorporate a little more Aliasesque disguises, rather than just Eliot putting his hair up in a ponytail and putting on glasses, or Parker wearing appropriate outfits, or Sophie talking with a different accent.

Speaking of Sophie, and case in point, I thought one of her best disguises was when she played the Indian business woman.

Me too. I can practically see the flashback to him in the bear-cagefight already!

OREGON?! Geez, I had my heart set on
London or Paris. I hope this doesn't mean we won't get the Crown Jewels Job, the Napoleon's Tomb Job, and the Vatican Job (you owe the Vatican one, or maybe they owe you, I can't decide).

  34. Man, I could use some Tiny Leverage. Eliot could kick the shit out of this flu that won't go away!!

So, did Nikki just admit she's a fan?

Are you sure it isn't "Eliot Fights BARE"????? that would be worth watching over and over and over and over......

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would pay cash money to see robot!Hardison.

Also, if at any point the inevitable "forced to go undercover in the suburbs as a married couple" plot were to happen in s2, I vote for Parker/Hardison over Sophie/Nate, just for the potential for LOLZ plus The Hawt Sex.

(I realise I have just met every stereotype of a squeeing fangirl, and perhaps surpassed them. But wow I so don't care. it's my FAVE PLOT EVER. Especially on "Invisible Man" where they combined it with "The Prisoner" for great justice.)

  37. Because I'm finally at the tail end of this flu that DID ITS BEST TO KILL ME and have watched the season finale AGAIN, now that my brain is less fevered and can connect story bits together again (somewhat), and that ending just KILLS ME for the way it ... TRIES TO KILL ME like the goddammed flu did, I figured I'd come back here and toss back a grenade you threw our way back in the dark old days of GF:

    >>>Also, in completely honest retrospect, what the hell was I thinking? It's a show about how the institutions around us have failed us, and we live in a world of chaos and death, held back only by borderline sociopaths. The HAPPY ending is our hero shoots an innocent man in the face.

You're lucky, Rogers, my brain is still not working *enough* for me to find the Geek Speech from another GF post, about "being needed."

I'm damned mad you decided to leave LA, but if you had, how did you manage to channel my inner wishes and decide to go to Portland? There hasn't been a good show shot there since the 90s, and it's well due for one now Great choice.

    ReplyDelete
  39. So Eliot is going to fight the bear IN THE TUTU RIGHT?

    It would seem unnatural otherwise.

I've been avoiding KFM because I'm a few weeks behind on LEVERAGE watching and didn't want to read any spoilers.

But I read about the move-to-Portland news in The Oregonian today and wanted to say "welcome!"

I was downtown today, selling off more of my gotten-too-big personal library at Powell's.

There's really a nice variety of urban scapes in Portland: A small cluster of corporate towers; streets of mellow old apartment buildings; an urban campus; shiny retail; hip grubby retail; dodgy grubby retail; industrial sprawl.

The only thing lacking is an "old" high-rise district; pre- International Style skyscrapers.

And I would really love to see this building used in some sort of movie or TV show:

Funky old building across from St. John's

    It just screams "lair!"

Portland! Now I'm going to be very very disappointed if we don't get "The Bookseller Job."

Coincidentally, one of my favorite bands has a (never-recorded) song that's sort of about being an addict in Portland, which is how I learned that "Willamette" rhymes with "goddammit."

  44. 1. Eliot fighting a bear would be pretty fantastic. It could be a polar bear and they're fighting in Antarctica for some pro-eco-friendly researchers. HA!

    2. Hardison + Fuschia Tutu = Preview for Leverage: The Musical!

    3. Tiny Leverage in a box. Coming soon to stores near you. But seriously, I want a tiny Leverage in a box.

On another, slightly more serious, note... I noticed a lot of people's comments said things like "I've seen this before..." blah blah blah. In the words of Jim Jarmusch:

"Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination...And don’t bother concealing your thievery—celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from—it’s where you take them to."

  46. While at TorchSong, I remarked to Mark Sheppard that I regretted not being able to get into a discussion with him about Sterling good or bad and how and he suggested I bring the matter to John Roger. I'm assuming here. I actually did get into a sharp discussion at a Leverage panel at MediaWest about Sterling and the team with me insisting that Sterling really is the good guy and the team was in danger of crossing the line. Had people agreeing with me by the time we finished.

I'm going to be horribly disappointed if Sterling ends up a true villain. I have a suspicion that there's more to the story between Sterling and Nate then we currently know about and it wouldn't at all surprise me if we find that Sterling is actually the wronged party in their little feud. I can easily see that happening.
