I am in love.
We are most often focused on the visual style and the dialog in shows but I'd like to recognize the audio in this clip. The sound is amazing. It really struck me in this clip. There's nothing worse than a show that looks great with fantastic dialog that sounds terrible.
Oh, and please, go easy on the dynamic range. I really hate when you have to crank it up to hear the dialog and then the windows shatter when something explodes. I know this is a tough nut to crack, but some shows get this horribly wrong.
I don't actually own a television, so how would someone in my position support a show?
I could get it from iTunes (if it's available), but is that really the best from the perspective people who work on and make the show? John, what would you suggest?
Once you get into the source for the embed, then you can add size to it easily. Be sure to add the same amounts to both the height and width parameters in order to keep the proper aspect ratio.
I've been getting KFMonkey through my feedreader and seeing these "test" posts. They were blank so I just figured that, y'know, you were trying to post from an iPhone or something.
Now I finally click through and I totally get it.

Also, I agree on the dynamic range. Especially since if I am able to ever find and watch the show up here in Canuckistan, I'll be watching it after my son goes to bed, and if I have to turn it up to hear the dialog, the explosions will be loud enough to wake him up. Which means I wouldn't be able to watch it after all. Which means I'd cry.
And a random thought... Do you guys have plans to release the show on iTunes? How about releasing the pilot on iTunes as a promotional thingie?
As for resizing... The file itself has probably been created to be exactly that size, so as not to waste bandwidth. Even if you find a way to make it bigger (which may or may not be possible) all you'll get is a blurry, blocky mess.

The video is 240x320 size at the TNT site itself (despite its largeness when playing). The embed code has two dimension tags. I tried changing both. No go. It could simply be the way the video is encoded for the streaming embed. Differently than what's at the TNT site.

On a separate note, I would have enjoined the trailer a bit more but unfortunately I succumbed a few weeks ago to curiousity and indulged in a "torrent" of activity that satisfied my craving for leverage. Still, looking forward to the season. From what I've seen, you've got a winner.
Incidentally, this question might already have been answered, but if someone had seen a copy of the pilot (hypothetically, of course, since that would require using the nasty internets), would someone be able to ask if that's John cameoing as Parker's dad?
Damn that spam. I take it you're already using Haloscan. I wonder if it and Akismet would play nice together ? The pilot looks good -though to tell the truth, blood and guts are so common as to make one think 'Here we go again' without much anticipation.
