Of course I'm picking this book up. And I like the design.
But...it does remind me of Abe Sapien.
when the eyes are colored, it won't. I got the same vibe of the B&W when I first saw them.
Ya know, the only thing I can remember Cully Hamner doing off the top of my head was Firearm.
Which ruled.
So, kickass. I was already going to pick up the Beetle; this is a nice surprise.
Though I'm disappointed DC isn't going with the Electric Company version of the Blue Beetle: a middle-aged man in a t-shirt that said "Blue Beetle" across it and a mask. That dude was hardcore.
Maybe in the next Great Revamp.
That'd be schweet.
I wonder when comics will be fun again. Maybe after the next crisis in 2010.
