Bee-Fu!

Via the always delightful BoingBoing:
"Honeybees that defend their colonies by killing wasps with body heat come within 5°C of cooking themselves in the process, according to a study in China. At least two species of honeybees there, the native Apis cerana and the introduced European honeybee, Apis mellifera, engulf a wasp in a living ball of defenders and heat the predator to death."

Between the aforementioned apocalypseseseses, bee-fu and the recent revelation of weaponized dolphins --

I'm sorry, let me take a moment with that. The image of a dolphin rasing his t-shirt to reveal he's strapped, glaring at a barracuda and snarling "You want some of this you Sphyraenidae Sphyraenus fuck?!" is, heh ...

...

Okay, back.

-- weaponized dolphins escaped and on the loose, I'm thinking our time as Big Man on Planet is coming to an end rather sooner than we anticipated. Maybe we can make a deal with the horses.

(10 bonus points for whoever spots the reference)

EDIT: Jesus, and now mutant regenerating X-MICE?

Is the reference to Boyz N the Hood? Because now I can't shake the mental image of seminal dolphincore rap group Finz With Attitude.

I think you're jumping on the Houyhnhnm-ism bandwagon in a cheap attempt to gain popularity. Hits aren't worth it man, the horses won't let you stick around anyway.

It's not like I named the reference. I'm fine with point splitting Mr. Tyrrell.

  11. I am going by memory, but that's the sentiment of the last paragraph of Daphne du Maurier's The Birds, upon which the Hitchcock film was based.

Don't forget the gay squid orgies.

Re: squid orgies. I guess this was a bit OT, since they are not exactly a threat to humanity. But they could be pretty dangerous if you were caught in the middle of one.

  16. caught in the middle of one in your squid suit in particular.

That sounds like one of those elaborate methods a James Bond or Batman villain would use in an attempt to finish off the hero:

"Ah, Mr. Bond, perhaps you are wondering why I have taken the liberty of dressing you in an incredibly lifelike squid suit. Allow me to explain..."
