Been there done that. Internet and con season has desentaized me to that. There is Man Faye and beyond that I've seen someone who looks like that Cosplaying as Major Kurasagi from Ghost in the Shell. You can't hurt me any more.
Though you will earn bonus points if in the episode you dress Nate in a bright red suit jacket and yellow tie. Perhaps have the crooks busted by a Protective Zenigata.
I startled my four children at the breakfast table with my burst of laughter. Unfortunately they did not have pancakes swimmming in butter (cook must have been a Norweigan from southern MN)topped off by fruit loops.
I can't pinpoint what amused me more....the beard framed by the Princess Leia hair loops, the way he rocked those white, vinyl boots or Geoffrey's goofy smile!
Obviously a take-off on Sailor Bubba, who worked security at Anime Central for many years. One of the nicest guys I know, who started doing the cosplay on a dare and kept doing it because of the shock value and the popularity it brought. I hope this is an informed homage.
I can see this episode being genius and I can see it being painful and embarrassing to watch; I sincerely hope it's the first, and I believe your writers have the intelligence not to fall into the "hey look, geeks do weird things at con - let's put our characters in the middle of it and have them point and laugh the whole time" trap.
Sailor Moon was my first obsession. I cannot WAIT to see how you guys make fun of it.
Is there any way you could convince Tim or Christian to put the suit on? I don't mean in the episode, if you could just get them to put it on and then take pictures and put them on here, I would be happy. Thanks so much for giving me something new to look forward to!!!

End result: I'm giving an adversary. An alcoholic insurance investigator named Nick Bridge. Player will find this out next Monday.

Oh wow, it IS a Sailor Bubba homage! This should be good.
As TheRabbi (a fellow Anime Central staff veteran) pointed out, Bubba's been a fixture at ACen since 1999. I was the MC of the Costume Contest Masquerade for ACen from 98 until a couple years ago, and Bubba taking the stage in 99 still counts as one of my alltime favorite con memories.
Bubba would also wear such outfits while on Security duty. At ACen 2001, he was dressed as "Pretty Sami", a similarly mini-skirted Magical Girl, with a large cricket paddle painted pink and a large bow attached as Sami's "magic baton". I was there when a jerk was brandishing handcuffs at young women in the halls, and before I could find someone on security, Bubba was there in the guy's face. "Hey, you've got the handcuffs, I'VE got the sex toy! This is gonna be a great night!" The jerk ran from the hotel and did not return. Good times, and Bubba is a really swell guy.
The aforementioned Bobblehead was my idea, although I'm not sure how well they sold at the merchandising booth. I still have the prototype, painted gold instead of the usual colors.
Heehee. For just a moment I thought we had Hurley back, in the witness protection program and "cleverly disguised." But then I remembered-- you are obviously saving Drew's bear head from PeeWee's show so he can play the bear that Eliot fights.
That is not what I expected to see first thing on a Friday morning, and yet... hilarious! Is that Abe Benrubi? 'Cause if it is, my anticipation for the episode just got a thousand times bigger. He's such a lovable lunk.
@Sherri -- The last I heard, the season 2 DVDs will be released on May 25th, so you only have a few more weeks to wait. :)
