Very cool. Had to watch it twice to "get" some of it, but I guess that's natural when things are flashing by so fast in a little sizzle reel. I didn't get why the robot thing blasted all the guys into that window, weren't they on the same team? Did I miss something?
But this looks tonnes of fun, hope it goes to pilot/series.
Loved it. I loved the AI in the gun that won't let you fire it if you're stressed, the chip as a hacking tool, and that the job was to "steal" a captive AI.

Sci-fi about a war veteran in charge of a ragtag ship of thieves and outcasts sticking a middle finger up to a malevolent power. Come on! But if you're gunna riff on a show, you could do a lot worse. And Firefly probably riffs on a lot of stuff anyway.
The 60s Rat Pack feel and heavily futuristic (instead of Western) motifs certainly give it a far different look to that show, anyway.
One hundred percent agreed on the awesomeness of the off-handed "You wanker!" I have such a thing for teams that are good enough to mess with each other during jobs. Nothing is more likely to get me to watch than that.
Looks fantastic, and Sean Pertwee is always great. And could hardly go wrong using Firefly as an inspiration, although the Sixties look in this context seem very fresh and hip to me.
Any more details on the production? When will we see this?

I found it closer (in tone and soundtrack) to Cowboy Beebop than FIrefly (the former being NOLA Blues in Space and the latter being Johnny Cash/Social Distortion in Space).

I'll second the cowboy bebop vibe. This looks awesome and I'd say that the music will probably be very important. As in cowboy bebop, you get the music right and this thing will SHINE.

Also, strictly visually speaking, I find that the cleverly extensive use of holograms really adds a lot to the immersion factor.
