Me and my lady have been planning on a trip to Sedona sometime next year - is it as cool as they say? Supposed to be especially good for writers and artists, for some reason.
well, I don't believe in all the "vortex" bullshit, but it is indeed a gorgeous place -- even the cheapest downtoen hotel has a fantastic view through the sliding glass doors.
I would suggest aiming for fall, early winter (this shot was from December) or spring -- in summer, the fire risk is so high that many of the trails are closed.
Also, driving just north ot Oak River is worth it.
