Once, before the liquid ban, they took away the two forks in my backpack and my tweezers. Once I was past security, I was able to buy a large glass bottle of lemonade for the flight. Clearly whoever designed this system has never seen a bar fight.

I live in Belgium and have seen the first season of your fabulous show Leverage through a friend who owns the dvd's. Shortly after, I started following this blog (although not the spoilers for s2).
But this sunday, you are coming to the screen!!

Leverage is on actual Belgian tv!

I am so excited that more people over here will get to know this amazing show.

Guinness Sundaes
Bring one 15-ounce can of Guinness (or other stout) and 1/2 cup sugar to a simmer in a saucepan over low heat and cook til syrupy (about 40 minutes). Whisk in 3 tablespoons diced cold butter. Drizzle the Guinness "caramel" over vanilla or butter pecan ice cream and serve with shortbread cookies.

Ironically I had a similar situation. I once got stopped in an airport, not for the guitar strings in my bag, but for a bag of quarters which I found hilarious. With a pair of ball point pens I could garrote someone with the guitar strings, but quarters?

Though thinking about it I suppose that I could make a pretty nasty club by filling a sock with the quarters.

Reminds me of when my lovely wife circa 2000, then a neuroscience student, was asked by a Customs official if she was bearing any weapons in her luggage or on her person... and replied innocently;

"Anything's a weapon if you try hard enough".

She has had it suggested by me that this line may not get quite as good a reaction these days.

(She's just gone off to Peru for 5 months. Training in ayahuascadero.)
