Blue Wednesday

On the road for the Transformers premiere. I despise premieres, and am generally suspicious of writers who do not. But that's me.
However, this does not excuse you from buying Blue Beetle #16 on Wednesday, wherein Jaime and Paco team-up with Traci 13 to thwart all sorts of Big Bad Evil. If you're late jumping on the BB bus, the first and second trade paperback are out. There are a few things you might miss, but you can get by with the second paperback if needs be.

Huh, I just realized I have an issue with absolutely no Caucasian-Americans in it. I thought I was just a bystander in the Aztlan-retaking of America by the hordes of evil illegal immigrants, but no, I'M PART OF THE PROBLEM!

I look forward to my blacklisting by the Tancredo Administration.

In vaguely related comic news, congratulations to Mister Warren Ellis, who not only ranked in the top 100 of EW's new favorite people, but his first damn novel is #259 on Amazon. He is honestly amazed -- while I suspect a legion of Goth/Burlesque part-time dommes in Spider Jerusalem glasses snapping the crop across bottoms all across the world, hissing "When it buys its thousandth Crooked Little Vein, it gets its treat."
